THE OASIS™ SYSTEM: SOLAR COOLING. WHAT IS IT?
Solar cooling systems use solar collectors and absorption chillers to drive the most environmentally friendly cooling process.
These systems are ideal for cooling hotels, office buildings, data centres and other large commercial buildings. Solar thermal technology can cut air-conditioning and industrial cooling costs by reducing the electricity used for cooling.
The available solar energy, in the form of solar radiation flux, is utilised by a solar panel, in order to produce a high temperature fluid (generally hot water at temperature above 85°C).
This hot fluid is then conveyed into an absorption chiller (the real heart of the process) that uses this hot fluid to produce a cold fluid (chilled water at 7°C).
The cold fluid (chilled water at 7°C) can then be used in a normal cooling plant similar to an electric chiller.
